As the final sorry chapter of the Biden era spins its way into history, I'm reminded of Cromwell's declaration to the Rump Parliament in the 1600s.

“You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.”

Even as he had advanced and aggressive prostate cancer, he and his Lady McBeth doppelganger, Jill were trying (and failing) to insert Joe into the public narrative.

If Biden was a private citizen, his family would be castigated as perpetrators of simple 'elder abuse'. But given the half truths, backtracks and information gaps, simple 'elder abuse has become performative 'elder abuse'.
